Sainik School Rewari was inaugurated on 29th Aug 2008 by Shri. AK Antony, Hon’ble Raksha Mantri. The proposed permanent location of the school is at village Gothra Tappa Khori, District. Rewari (Haryana), situated 15 km south – west of Rewari town on Rewari – Narnaul Road. The school is temporarily functioning from Old Govt. College, Sector – 4, Rewari.
The primary aim of the school is to prepare boys academically, mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy,Khadakvasla. The school enables boys from economically weaker sections of the society to take up a challenging and high status careeras an officer in the Defence Services of India. Character building, dedication, patriotic outlook and esprit-de-corps and the qualities whichare promoted by the Sainik Schools.
"Classes 6th & 9th: Boys aged 10 to 12 years (Class 6th) and 13 to 15 years (Class 9th) are eligible. Educational Qualification: Successful completion of the previous class from a recognized school. "
